Bank of England Visit 10th JUNE 2011 - call to reserve your place !!!! BANK OF ENGLAND VISIT 1st July 2010 The Bank of England ‘s Agent for South East England and Anglia, Phil Eckersley made what is now a regular visit on our calendar. Numbers attending were down on the Autumn 2009 visit but Phil gave us a snapshot of the Bank of England’s view on the prospects for business in the future. We also had a presentation by 2 of the young people from First Steps to Employment, a new property maintenance company based in Swanley but covering all of North Kent. All employees had been previously unemployed for 10 months or more and there has been press coverage in the News Shopper, Swanley & Bexley Chronicle and Kent Messenger. The Chamber thanks Swanley Town Council for providing the venue, The Clock Tower, for the presentation.  Janette McCarthy's presentation was well received by a full audience on November 12th.
