Your District - Your Community Plan In recent months, the Sevenoaks District Local Strategic Partnership has been asking residents, partners and voluntary organisations for their views on what is needed to make the District a better place to live. Their comments are now being used to form the basis of the next Sevenoaks District Community Plan, a document that sets out the community’s priorities for action.
The Community Plan acts as a framework for making local public services more responsive to, and organised around, the needs of community. It is reviewed every three years to make sure it remains relevant to changing circumstances. The next thee year Community Plan starts in April 2010.
The Community Plan itself is delivered by the Sevenoaks District Local Strategic Partnership – a partnership of all of the organisations who work together to improve life in the District. These include Sevenoaks District Council, Kent County Council, Kent Police, Kent Fire & Rescue Service, the health service, housing associations, and representatives from voluntary organisations and businesses.
