SPECIAL GENERAL MEETING Stop Press!!!

You are invited to attend a Special General Meeting of the Swanley and District Volunteer Centre to be held on Thursday 24^th February at The Clocktower Pavilion, Civic Centre, St Mary’s Road, Swanley from 5pm – 7pm.

The purpose of the meeting will be to consider a report from our Chairman on the need to amalgamate our Centre with both Dartford and Gravesham Centre, to form a new ‘North West Kent Volunteer Centre’ and to approve the following motion. 

“That the name of the Charity be changed from the Swanley and District Volunteer Centre to the “North West Kent Volunteer Centre” with effect from 1^st April 2011. That the area of benefit be changed from Swanley and District to North West Kent from the 1^st April 2011.”

Please note that at this meeting we shall also be nominating 4 members to be appointed to the Board of this newly merged organisation. We intend to nominate one of these members to be an Honorary Officer, either as Chair, Vice Chair, or Treasurer, of the North West Kent Volunteer Centre.
